Abstract: Smart and injectable chitosan hydrogel hold potential application in healthcare. To endow chitosan with injectable, smart responsive and visual degradation, we developed smart and injectable hydrogel with on-demand swelling behavior for healthcare including on-demand drug delivery based on tailor-made molecular structure of chitosan and thiol-ene click chemistry. Carbon dots was target-oriented synthesis via free radical polymerization in combination of hydrothermal carbonization with high synthetic yield more than 85wt%. Carbon dots with ROS scavenging ability served as down-regulating ROS in living system for protection oxidation stress and fluorescent indicator for real-time and non-invasively tracking degradation of injectable chitosan.
